This is our last project in this region.

Let's bring smiles to the children

who live in Thailand's three southernmost provinces.

Since 1948, an insurgency has torn apart the fragile southern region. The outbreak of violence and terrorism worsened since 2011.

The 3 bordering provinces and 4 districts have become some of the poorest areas in the country, with 30% of families having household incomes of less than 20,000 Baht per year.

icon_03_support

We are supported by the military (Santisuk Special Task Force), State Railway of Thailand, and our volunteers including the villagers who have helped us build the facilities.

Due to the insurgency, infant mortality has risen to more than 11%, which is double the national average.

icon_05_volunteer

We are the first volunteer group who reached out to the areas by helping to build the most needed facilities.

icon06_charity

KFAM is run by unpaid volunteers, which means every Baht donated goes directly to the children in the 3 southern provinces.

icon07_university

Less than 8% of the population holds undergraduate degrees. Less than 2% of Muslim people in the region (who make up approximately 80% of the population) hold an undergraduate degree.
