Due to recent worldwide events, the conflict in southern Thailand is often seen as being the result of Islamic extremists. And this has made it hard to bring in international agencies or aid. And while it is true that there is an increasing religious element in the conflict, here at KFAM we believe in looking beyond this and putting the people first, whatever their beliefs. We see their suffering primarily and want to help. We believe that by helping society in the south, we can better break down barriers and help them to live side by side and resolve their conflicts.
